The Hidden Thoughts of a Business Owner – Part 2

February 25, 2016 // No Comments

Emotional challenges of running a business are very common. The feeling of not being in control can create isolation, fatigue and anxiety. But the key to breaking through is to step outside the emotional fear and reframe your thinking.

Your subconscious creates millions of images throughout your life. And each image is framed with a different emotion. There are times when you visit with a friend or mentor about an emotional challenge, and see the emotion in a different light. As a coach, asking the right question is critical to my client’s success. It reveals the underlying truth, builds trust and helps us reframe a clear approach with confidence.

When you try avoiding your fear, it comes back around. As Andy Stanley wrote, “Generally speaking, you are probably never going to be more than 80% certain. Waiting for the greater certainty may cause you to miss an opportunity.”Faith is the process of unlearning your irrational fears. God is continually developing your faith as a leader through each challenge. Reframe your thinking and you will rekindle your passion to see it through.
